Netherlands legend Ruud Gullit has advised Frenkie de Jong to leave Barcelona as soon as possible after the 27-year-old midfielder has left out of Sunday’s 5-2 Supercopa de Espana final win over Real Madrid.

Frenkie de Jong may not be celebrating his latest success with Barcelona to the fullest after the 27-year-old midfielder missed a minute of the final.
Frenkie was name as an unused substitute in the game as Hansi Flick opted to field Pedri, Gavi and Marc Casado in midfield, with Daniel Olmo coming on as a substitute. The Dutch midfielder did not feature for a single minute and was reluctant to celebrate his achievement with his team-mates.
Signs over Frankie’s future have been bleak, with the 27-year-old midfielder looking more likely to leave the club than ever before, with Gullit advising his compatriot to find a way out of the Blaugrana as soon as possible.
‘I hope he finds a way out, I hope he finds the right club for him so he can leave Barca. It’s time to look for something else,’ Gullit said of Frenkie.
Asked which club would be perfect for Frenkie if the 27-year-old midfielder decides to move in the future. Gullit replied: ‘Bayern, Bayern would be perfect for Frenkie. It would be great for him.’
‘I want De Jong to come back and play football. He shouldn’t be stuck on the bench. He’s 27 and in his prime. This situation has to change.’
‘There are a lot of rumours. It’s normal in football to talk about offers and more about players who don’t play.’
‘I think Saudi clubs should also look into his transfer because he is a great player,’
